Elegant Wedding Hairstyles

The first step to discovering your perfect wedding day hair is to look through wedding and hairstyle magazines. This will give you an idea of what you like and what you don't like, which you can take to your stylist when you go for your trial. You will want to consider the style and formality of your gown when deciding on how to wear your hair. Look for styles that are consistent with the look of your gown.

Also consider the neckline and sleeves of your dress when deciding on a hairstyle. If your gown has a detailed neckline or back, you do not want your hair to cover it. Similarly, if you are wearing a strapless dress and want to show off neck and chest, an up-do is the way to go. Long, flowing curls look great with scoop or v-neck dresses that have any sleeve length. You just want to keep in mind that your hair is meant to complement your dress and not cover elements that make it unique.

Just like with your makeup, you will want to have at least one hair trial before your wedding day whether you are going to a stylist or doing it yourself. Testing out your hairstyle before the big day will help ensure you get the look you want. Your stylist will be able to tell you what types of styles will work best on your hair, considering both the length and texture of your hair, and the shape of your face. You will also want to take your headpiece and veil with you so your stylist can work these accessories into the overall look of your hair. If you plan on removing either of these items after the ceremony, you will want to let your stylist know so she can show you how to remove them without messing up your style.

When you go for your trial, discuss with your stylist what looks will work best not only for your hair length and texture, but also for the environment of your wedding. Weather elements, such as humidity, rain, and wind will all affect the way your hair will look on your wedding day. Even if your ceremony and reception are both indoors, you will most likely have to step foot outside at one point, so you will want to make sure your hair will stay perfect all day long.

Once you have decided upon a style, you need to think about how to prepare your hair to look its best on the big day. You should get a trim a couple of weeks before your wedding to get rid of any split ends. If you color or perm your hair, you will want to do this well enough in advance that your hair has time to relax and look natural after the treatment. Also, make sure you know how your stylist wants your hair when you go to have it done on the big day. Often, hair is easier to manage if it has not been washed that day, so find out if there are any special instructions that you need to follow.

How to choose the Wedding Dress of your Dreams

by Joanna Steele-Perkins

When choosing a wedding dress there are some basic things to consider before you even set foot outside your front door. You may find that many people are willing to give you endless advice on all aspects of a wedding, but for many brides finding the perfect dress is a priority, after all it is your day, and you want to be the belle of the ball.

Although shopping for a wedding dress can be fun, there is so much choice it is sometimes difficult to make a decision. If you take time to assess yourself before you shop, you could save yourself a great deal of time and effort. Take a look at yourself in a full length mirror and assess your body shape (are you curvy with a small waist, big busted, narrow, flat-chested?) and your colouring (hair, skin and eye colour).

Although white is a traditional colour for wedding dresses, not all women look their best in pure white. It can be very harsh and a softer colour such as ivory or champagne can be kinder on the skin. Try standing in by the window of the shop and hold the material up near your face and see what effect it has on your skin. If you have visited a colour consultant, you can use your colour swatch wallet to find the perfect colour.

The style of the dress is equally important. You may have a mental image of the style of dress you are looking for, but different styles suit different body shapes. For example if you have an hour glass figure, wearing a stiff taffeta dress without any waist definition will not be flattering. You will be better in a soft silky fabric that drapes your curves and shows of your tiny waist. If however you have a very straight body without much waist definition, a dress with straight lines and some rigidity to the fabric will give you a slim shapely silhouette. Consider your height. If you are under 5'3" tall, a very full skirted dress will make you look shorter and squarer. Try and match your petite stature with less froth and frill. An image consultant can help you discover how to dress your body shape and give you specific styles to look for.

If you have never taken professional advice on clothes and colour before, now may be the time to do just that. Although some bridal shops have experienced shop assistants who can advise you on colour and shape, it is worth having a good understanding of your body and naturally colour to help you decide.

Once you have a clear understanding of the styles, colours and fabrics that suit you, have a look on the internet or in bridal magazines for ideas. Perhaps visit some wedding shows so you can get "feel" for what is out there, without being committed. Once you are armed with all the information you need, hit the shops.

Simple Wedding Hair Styles

Some brides tend to go way overboard when selecting a wedding dress and hairstyle. You don't have to have a super fancy hairstyle or dress to look good on your wedding day.

See hairstyle, left, that Heidi Klum is wearing. This is a simple ponytail with a little bit of teasing in the crown area, a deep side part and a few wispy strands here and there. The ends of the hair are barrel curled.
This hairstyle would look very elegant with just about any wedding dress. You could even style your own hair since it is such an easy hairstyle.

Planning the Wedding Day: What To Consider

by Cherry Bonachita

A wedding ceremony is a public demonstration of eternal vow of two individuals. Just like other events, the success of the wedding depends greatly on how well the details are planned and organized.

Below are procedures that need to be followed to ensure an orderly and successful wedding.

Schedule the Wedding

The date for the wedding is the first thing that needs to be discussed by the couple. The time and exact date has to be considered as there must be an ample preparation before the wedding day. The preparation includes the choice of the best wedding dress from the list of magnificent Brooklyn bridal gowns , as well as the right groom's suit.

Premarital Counseling

Some churches make it a must to have the couple go through premarital counseling. The counseling includes advice and tips to have a lasting marriage.

Church Reservation

Once the couple has agreed on a date for the matrimonial ceremony, the next step is to make an appointment with a minister for church reservations. The meeting with the minister should involve the bride and groom.

Rehearsal

Most rehearsals are done few days or the night before the wedding. The rehearsal basically takes an hour and the presence of all the members of the matrimonial party is imperative.

Wedding Day

As the most awaited day comes, the groom is undoubtedly excited to see his bride in an elegant Brooklyn bridal gown marching towards the altar to meet him. He and the groomsmen must be in the wedding venue before the bride and the bridal party arrives. The groom has to honor the entrance of the bride. During the wedding proper, pledges and vows are made by the couple. This includes the pledge of faith, marriage vow, and the exchange of rings. These pledges are the best part of the ceremony.

A wedding ceremony is indeed very significant. The whole event marks a challenge for the couple as they start a new life together and serves as a remarkable experience for the guests.

Wedding Reception Rentals Guide and Checklist

by Cori Russell

When you book your reception site, be sure that you understand what's included in the rental fee. Each venue is different, so you have to clarify with the site manager which items the venue provides and which wedding rentals you must provide.

(this list of questions to ask your wedding reception site will help you determine what's included) As always, make sure that everything you have agreed upon is put in writing. Depending on the venue - and the type of reception you're planning - you may need to supply some, if not all the items listed below.

Wedding Rentals Checklist

Tables

Here's a breakdown of the types of tables you may need:

Guest Tables -

36-inch rounds seat 4-6 guests.

48-inch rounds seat 6-8 guests

60-inch rounds seats 8-10 guests.

6 ft rectangle seats about 8 guests

Cake Table(s) -

Appropriate size depends on size of cake, whether you'll also have a groom's cake, and whether you'll display both cakes on the same or separate tables. 48-inch round usually works well

Head Table -

Seats bridal party. Often consists of rectangular tables placed end-to-end.

Sweetheart Table - in place of head table, small table that seats the bride and groom while the rest of the wedding party sits at guest tables.

Buffet Tables -

If you have decided on a buffet dinner, you'll need to arrange several food stations, such as meet carving, etc. (Buffet tables may be provided by the catering company.)

Gift Table -

Size depends on the number of guests you are expecting.

Guest Book Table -

A small table for your reception guest book.

Chairs

For a seated dinner or buffet, you will need to provide seating for all reception guests. For a buffet style cocktail reception you may able to get away with enough chairs for half or more of the total number of guests. You may need to rent or purchase chair covers separately. High chairs for children should be available from rental companies.

Linens and Chair covers

Linens and Chair covers may be included with the rented tables and chairs, or you may need to source them elsewhere.

Tableware

For a formal sit-down reception, tables are usually set with complete place settings. At a buffet reception where guests serve themselves, plates and silverware may be located at the buffet table.

Tent

A large tent or canopy may be required for receptions held outdoors to protect you and your guests from the sun or rain.

Options: Tents and canopies come in different sizes and colors. A smaller tent (20-by-20 feet) will accommodate about 40 guests at a sit-down dinner. A 20-by-40 about 200, and a 60-by-100 about 500 or more. Depending on the shape of your reception area, you may need to rent several smaller canopies rather than one large one. Contact several party rental suppliers to discuss the options.

Take pictures of the site for references for your tent rental company. Although they should survey the facility themselves before they set up the tent, the pictures are a good reference for them when you first set up an appointment.

Heaters/Air Conditioners

You may need to rent heaters if your reception will be held outdoors and if the temperature may drop below sixty-five degrees. There are electric and gas heaters, both of which come in different sizes. Gas heaters are more popular since they do not have unsightly and unsafe electric cords. In warmer climates, portable AC units may be rented for outdoor events.

Dance Floor

The size of your dance floor will depend on how many guests you expect. They can range from 12 by 12 feet up to 20 by 30 feet or larger. Get some graph paper and make a floor plan, and bring this to you when you visit your rental company.

Visit this complete wedding rentals guide for a printable checklist you can file and keep with you to manage your rentals.

Cheap Ideas For Wedding Accessories

by Janet R.

After you have done major decisions in purchasing very important things for your wedding, you may realize that these are just all major stuff, how about minor stuff that can make great add-ons to your big day? Well to figure out, little items that are significant to end your day perfectly are those that can complete your look and can enhance the overall appeal of the celebration. But in some situations that you are running out on cash for your wedding accessories, you may consider affordable options that can still brighten up your day.

Popular wedding accessories are jewelry. Accessories especially bridal jewelry can cost a lot, however, if you consider taking enough time to shop around and make comparisons, this can allow you to have big savings. Don't feel sad if you don't have luxurious diamonds or gold, instead, satisfy yourself with elegant and glamorous sparkle of inexpensive crystal-made jewelry. However, be mindful when choosing good quality of crystal because they are not made evenhanded. You may consider jewelry made from Swarovski crystals that give an enchanting glow for any wardrobe of your choice. High quality crystal jewelry are wide available in most online jewelers. Also, they are able to feed you reasonable prices of jewelry that they sell compared with other local jewelry shops.

Other wedding accessories like shoes and under garment lingeries can be very expensive if you don't have much ability to find cheaper options. However, don't compromise comfortability with inexpensive items. Many cheap shoes often have uncomfortable materials that can cause uneasy steps. Therefore, smart and carefully picked shoes are very important, or else you would look horrible while walking down the aisle. Also, under garment lingeries are another budget-factor to think of. Though they are a rare factor in most budgets and often end up with a very specific selection. The fact is, brides don't need high quality lingeries to seriously lift their look. Instead, settle with seamstress sew cups into the gown and forget about wearing a bustier.

Headpieces like hairpins and tiaras are popularly known for their exquisite appeal on bride's hairstyle. Often, they also come in very expensive prices. Expensive headpieces are usually made from elegant materials with high quality like freshwater pearls, gem stones and crystals, porcelain and metallic materials like silver and gold. So to lower down the cost, consider choosing small combs and disregard tiaras. Also, allow yourself to choose very functional tiaras that are convertible and can coordinate with your other jewelry.

Lastly, wedding accessories you shouldn't forget are your favors and other wedding stuff. These items may be small but they can make a big difference on your wedding appeal. A good choice of wedding favors for the wedding reception can make a wonderful remembrance to all your guests. To choose ideal favors, think first of your wedding theme. While you have chosen a simple theme for your wedding, an affordable option, you should also pick simple favors. Looking heavy, these favors can show too much that are completely out of theme for your simple wedding. So choose appropriate favors that don't strain your budget too much.

Clip-in Hairpieces for Weddings

Deciding on your wedding hairstyle

Have you have found a hairstyle that you really like for your wedding? Is your hair too short or thin to achieve that style? Then maybe you will want to use clip in hair extensions or hairpieces to achieve your look.

If your hair is too short, you can have a hair stylist attach clip in extensions and style the hair the way that you like. Another option is the clip in hairpiece that is already in a certain shape or style and all you need to do is clip it in.

There are many places where you can find such hairpieces. Most shopping malls will have a kiosk with hairpieces, search for local salons that offer them or search for stores online that sell them. GarlandDrake.com is a great place to find clip ins.

Bridal Jewelry Puts The Sparkle Into Your Special Day

by Susan Slobac

Bridal jewelry can consist of many different types of jewelry. Wedding rings, engagement rings, wedding bands, and a host of other accessories such as pendants, necklaces, bracelets, and jewelry for men such as diamond studs, cuff links, watches and more can all be considered part of a bridal jewelry collection that will be worn by you and your wedding party on your big day. Fine jewelry is available at your convenience both online and at fine jewelry stores near you.

The focus of your search for wedding jewelry sets will undoubtedly be the wedding ring. Wedding rings come in a wide range of materials, and you will have a great variety of gemstones from which you will choose the focal point of the ring. Diamonds are the traditional choice, and they symbolize a lovely and long-lasting remembrance of your wedding ceremony and vows.

There are many options when it comes to the purchase of wedding jewelry sets of rings. The rings come in different types of metals. You might choose from gold or platinum. Once the metal for the ring is selected, you can then decide on whether you wish to choose from finished jewelry or a semi mount. Finished jewelry is what you will see displayed at jewelry stores, and as the name implies the ring has a gemstone mounted in place and is ready to be worn immediately. Semi mounts refer to rings that have open mounts, allowing you the opportunity to select a loose gemstone and have it mounted. With a semi mount, you can customize your ring more easily by selecting a gemstone of the color and cut that you prefer.

The diamonds showing prominently in diamond engagement rings and other components of wedding jewelry sets may consist of clear or colored diamonds. Diamonds can come in a wide selection of colors, adding an unexpected and pleasant surprise for the center of diamond engagement rings. Depending on the rarity of the color, colored diamonds can be in the same price range as clear diamonds or more expensive.

Diamond engagement rings are just one of the types of jewelry that you will wear on your wedding day. Depending on the neckline of your wedding gown, you might want to highlight it by wearing a diamond pendant necklace. A bracelet at the wrist that features diamonds will add a little more sparkle to the exchange of rings. You may also decide to give a great gift to your wedding party by getting matching necklaces for the women and matching cuff links for the men, which they can wear for the ceremony and then wear as a lasting remembrance of your appreciation. All manner of bridal jewelry can be explored at your leisure online, and then seen in person at stores so you can be sure that you like what you are getting.

Weddings & Honeymoons

by sally

A honeymoon is a holiday of a lifetime, one you̢۪ll want to remember forever, its the start of your life together as a married couple Like your wedding, it needs careful consideration and planning. Its important for both of you to sit down and decide what you both want before booking it. Don̢۪t forget to get good advice as discussion and planning can mean the difference between an average and a wonderful experience.

Here are some of the points to consider.

How long do you want to go for?

Do you want to be away for 2 weeks or perhaps just a few days away?

How much do you want to spend?

Is that price to include extras like food and drink? depending on which destination you go to, prices may be cheap or expensive, its worth considering whether all inclusive or half board would be better value than room only?

Would you prefer a beach holiday or not?

Do you both like to lie by the pool and the beach all day, or do you want more to do? Do you like watersports? Do you like lots of culture and exploring?

Where in the world do you want to be?

This can often be one of the hardest ones to answer unless you have had your heart set on a place. Your destination quite often is determined with your budget and your duration.

Check out things like the weather for the time of year and whether there's a need for visas and vaccinations.

Finally, enjoy the planning and take your time, its your honeymoon ! and have a great time wherever you go!

Making Your Wedding Special

by Melissa E Cruz

Some people like being different. That is just the way it is. Some people love to do things differently from the way others would usually do them, sometimes in a way that has never been done before. Some people like to be unique and different from everyone else, and when you do something that is unique and different from everyone else, it makes you stand out more among the crowd. It makes people sit up and pay attention, and you become the center of attention whenever you do something unconventional or that is a refreshing change from the norm.
If you are different from everyone else, you're not so easily forgettable. This holds true for events such as weddings too for if there is something unique about it, most will reminisce the event. No matter how much you need to stick to the norm, there is always room for you to slide in a little bit of uniqueness.

Weddings are an event that you should try to make extraordinary for weddings are meant to be memorable. How will the guest distinguish your events that the other five weddings that they may have attend this year? Wedding ceremony, wedding process and wedding themes are more or less the same everywhere and if you do something out of the ordinary, chances are your wedding will stand out from the rest.

If you are stuck with the traditions and thinks that not much can be done differently for your wedding, you can think again. Don't give up just yet for as mentioned, even the smallest part in the wedding can be unique and others will still notice it. What have you got to lose anyway if you consider to make unique wedding gifts, printable wedding invitations and wedding guest books. These are the few safe things that you can definitely spoil yourself rotten with creativity.

Unique wedding gifts, unique printable wedding invitations and unique wedding guest books are definitely the safer items to experiment on your creative side as you don't stand to lose much if anything should go wrong. Besides, how far can you divert from the norm with these items? No one would be in a state of a shock if you do display that wild creative side of yours unlike experimenting on the other important elements of the wedding ceremony itself.

So with options like unique wedding gifts, unique printable wedding invitations and unique wedding guest books for example, you get to flaunt and show off your creative and artistic genius when you personalize them yourself. These things can usually either be custom made or store bought, but of course if you want to be different, then custom made is the way to go. You get to pick out the designs, even design it on your own if you want, and you get to determine from start to finish how the outcome of the finished products you are going to be like.

Personalizing the wedding gifts, printable wedding invitations and wedding guest books means that you have embedded yourself in the product so that the product is wholly yours. Antique Wedding Rings

by Suta

Your bride will probably want to have ring that complements her engagement ring when you go to choose your antique wedding rings. Often, well decorated antique wedding rings may look good on but detract attention from the engagement ring so you may need to try a number of antique wedding rings to see which suits it best.

When two people say their vows to stay with each other, it is clearly symbolized in the circular form of the antique wedding ring they then place on one another's finger. There are a number of customs where presenting gifts to the engaged couple is quite normal and only ends when the wedding rings are final given with the vows. Often nowadays this older tradition is replaced by the giving of an ‘eternity' ring to show that the vows taken are forever.

It is now becoming more popular to have wedding rings engraved so if you and your partner are buying matching antique wedding rings, why not have them both engraved with a message personal to you both just to give them that unique feel. Often plain antique wedding rings just don't suit the personality of the owners so if this is the case why not have both you and your partner's wedding rings given a unique style by having the edges engraved. It is worth remembering that you are choosing rings for your wedding and not someone else's so as long as you both agree you can't go wrong with your choice.

Never forget how important you antique wedding ring is and that it is not like any other jewelry you posses. Therefore, never accept anything but the best quality rings you can afford or find. It is possible to buy antique wedding rings inexpensively but this should not be done as it undermines the significance of the wedding rings and you can be sure the rings will not stand the test of time.

Your expensive antique wedding rings should also fit perfectly so do not accept anything less as when you come to place them on each others fingers on the wedding day you may find they no longer look as good. To make sure your antique wedding rings fit perfectly you will need the services of a professional jeweler to measure you and your partner's fingers, which is something you can't do over the internet. Having the wedding rings made to measure ensure that they are not too tight to put on or so loose they fall off. Adjustments aren't usually done ‘over the counter' so allow plenty of time for your antique wedding rings to be adjusted before the big day. So as soon as you have planned when you are to be married, go out and choose you antique wedding rings and allow at least a couple of months for the rings to be adjusted.

You also need to allow time to choose your antique wedding rings as the choice of design and styles is huge. Choosing your antique wedding rings should be a combination of what is comfortable to wear on a daily basis and what looks god to you both but remember that your instinct should play a big part in the decision. Remember that your antique wedding rings are a symbol of your love and commitment to each other. This type of life changing statement means you should buy wedding rings that reflect this and that you will feel proud to wear.

How to Select a Really Good Wedding DJ

by Donna Ennis

I've noticed these days that just about every bride hires a DJ to handle music at the wedding reception (and sometimes at the ceremony). I'm sure part of that trend has to do with convenience. What most brides don't realize is that deciding on a DJ goes beyond the question, "Who should I have playing music for my guests?" It is one of the most critical choices on a bride's list of arrangements for wedding-day service providers. (For brides who prefer to hire live musical entertainment for their events, this applies to band leaders of orchestras, as well.)
A good DJ can smoothly guide the flow of your ceremony or reception, and keep your guests involved and entertained. A bad DJ can ruin the entire event. A great DJ can dazzle your guests and at the same time help to seamlessly coordinate the work of everyone operating behind the scenes, turning your reception into the most fabulous party of the season. A DJ (short for Disc Jockey) is unquestionably your MC (short for Master - or Mistress - of Ceremonies). They sit in the control seat: They have the microphone, and they are the focal person in the hall. From there they can alert people like caterers, videographers and photographers to be ready for whatever is happening next at your event; they can keep your guests informed and happy and they can field any requests your guests might have for special music. A masterful DJ literally can be a bride's best friend at the reception.

As with any friend, you need to choose wisely. Do some thinking before you draw up your list of DJ candidates. First, consider who you will invite to your event, and what kind of atmosphere you want. If your family and friends tend to be somewhat reserved, then hiring a flamboyant, over-the-top DJ would be a mistake. Someone generating that kind of high-voltage personality might repel your group from the dance floor, rather than attract them to it.

On the other hand, if you have a raucous entourage of people who love to party, then you don't want a DJ whose style is to keep the music playing, keep your events running like clockwork, and generally keep the ship on an even keel. Your friends and family may hang back, waiting for the DJ to get into the party spirit and rev up the action to the level of excitement they prefer. It could be a long wait.

Here is a checklist to help you select the best DJ for your occasion:

1. Verify that the behind-the-mike personality of your DJ is a good match for the group personality of your guests.

2. Make sure the DJ enjoys working with your other support people (such as caterers and videographers) because that is a vital part of the job.

3. Make sure the DJ has the right equipment in their studio to bring to your event: Enough audio gear and lighting gear to cover the needs of the hall and the demands of your schedule.

4. Is the DJ is willing to play the kind of music you enjoy, and has plenty of the appropriate songs in their collection?

5. Are you comfortable enough with the DJ that you can trust them make judgment calls on what songs to play at certain times (even songs that may not be on your list), in order to liven up the party?)

You're the expert on what the crowd at your party will be like; the DJ should be your expert on getting the event moving and keeping it going. For that to work, you both need to share your expertise. Be wary of a DJ who seems to have all the answers - even before you ask a question. A good DJ will want to spend time talking with you so that they can prepare to do the best job possible. Remember to let your disc jockey or band leader know you expect them to help coordinate the work of your other support people, like the videographer and the photographer. If that seems like a new idea to them, then you should look elsewhere.

As a wedding professional, I always contact the DJ before a wedding just to make sure we get off to a good working relationship. I let them know that I appreciate what they'll be providing at the reception, and that I'll be relying on them for a heads-up if any part of an event is starting before I am ready. It always helps, but what I've found is that the great DJs are the ones who call me before I get a chance to call them. They know their job - all phases of it - and they can't wait to get started. It's a pleasure to work with those professionals. That is the kind of mastery you want in the person directing your reception ceremony music.

How to choose the wedding hairstyles?

How to choose the wedding hairstyles?
Don’t lose your personal identity when selecting the wedding hairstyle. Most of the women simply choose the updo hairstyle. Don’t simply decide on everything. Make sure that which wedding hairstyle is perfectly suitable for you.

Think on what you like best: flowing or big, up or down, dark or light. Consider the wedding hairstyles in which you feel more comfortable. Take advice from specialist regarding what type of wedding hairstyles best suits you and your personality.

One more factor while considering wedding hairstyles is your hair type, your wedding dress, the type of wedding veil you are going to wear, your jewelry and how your better half will be wearing their hair.

If your gown has very low cut neckline with exposed shoulders and chest bared, then you can choose long hairstyles and flowing curvy wedding hairstyles.

If your gown has high neck then you can opt for updo wedding hairstyles. These are perfectly suitable for everyone with high neck dresses.

If you want a more glamorous hairstyle, then put on your hair in a topknot. This can be a wonderful choice. Actually this wedding hair style frames your features and will definitely draw attention to the facial appearances such as your lips or eyes.

Those who have long hair can be styled in different ways like from formal to more casual. You will find many options like long layered cut, an elegant bun, classic swept updo, and the French twist.

Classic swept updo is the stunning among the various wedding styles and is suitable for any face. Also it complements with any type of the wedding dress. Especially it looks stunning for the long flowing dresses. Updos are always fashionable and they are the real head-turners.

Fall Wedding Ideas

by Denise Sanger

Did you know that?
* That September is the most popular month for weddings? 14% of couples choose this month for their wedding day.

* October is the third most popular month for weddings. 12% of couples select October for their wedding day.

* 6% of weddings take place in November.

When you total this up, 30% of weddings take place during a fall month. There must be a very good reason for so many couples selecting this time of year for their weddings. What do you think it is? Many couples tell us they prefer this time of year over warmer, stickier summer months. Also many couples became engaged at this time of year and want to have their wedding during the same month.

If you've decided to get married at this time of year and are searching for some creative wedding ideas, you've found the right article. This is absolutely one of the most breathtaking times of the year for weddings - and decorating has never been easier if you take advantage of the fall season as a backdrop.

If you've selected September or October or live in an area where the weather is still nice outside, you may want to have your wedding outdoors. Choosing a relaxed outdoor wedding theme will not only take the pressure off you, but is guaranteed to have your guests feeling relaxed right from the beginning.

Outdoor fall weddings are very easy to decorate for and contribute to the relaxed feel of the day. Consider hay bales for seating or to hold the beverages placed in metal containers with ice. The coolness of the days will make the ice last longer than during summer months.

This is the time for harvests so be sure to use the flowers and vegetables that are plentiful at this time of year in your fall decorating ideas. Sunflowers, mums, squash, pumpkins and more are all in abundance. Place beautiful sunflowers and mum is unique containers for the table centerpieces. Choose squash and pumpkins to accent your buffet or serving tables, the bar, and gift tables. These fall wedding decorations are not only beautiful but quite inexpensive to boot.

When selecting fall wedding favors, you should also keep the time of year in mind. There are many party favors that any guest would love to receive that are also fall themed. For edible favors, take a look at chocolate with personalized wrappers. These wrappers may be personalized in fall themes plus have the couples name and date on it for that extra special touch.

Another great eco-friendly favor option are wildflower seeds. Wildflower seeds are not only perfect for spring events but tie very nicely into fall events also. Choose wildflower seed favors that you can customize with a fall theme label. For more practical fall party favors, how about a photo frame that can first serve as a place card holder then be taken home to be used later by your guests? This year, there is a very nice fall photo frame designed in beautiful branches in a lovely bronze color. Another great option for a fall party favor is any favor in a gorgeous fall color such as orange, red, yellow or brown. Choose candles, soaps, and more in these beautiful colors.

Fall wedding party decorating has never been easier - or more affordable.

1
plug
plug itFancy getting married on a tropical paradise island, with white sandy beaches, warm turquoise blue seas, swaying palm trees in the breeze and lush tropical gardens, creating that picturesque back drop to that very special day?

Then come to Barbados.Barbados has been accommodating weddings now for over 20 years to seasoned holidaymakers and celebrities alike. Most recently tiger woods and his beautiful Swedish model wife Elin nordegren were married in Barbados on the 5th Oct 2004.

Popular wedding locations in Barbados are beach weddings, great house weddings, tropical garden weddings, church weddings and weddings at sea i.e. catamarans and private yachts.

Beach weddings

Beach weddings are located on the sandy public beaches of Barbados; popular beaches for weddings in Barbados are on the south west coast and the west coast of the island. A beachfront wedding can be as large or as small as you want it. With the reception being held at the any of the nearby restaurants that back the beach.

Your wedding location can be decorated with a decorated arch and your isle created by placing a bed of petals or isle runners for you to walk down. Also dependant on your budget a marquee could be placed onto to the beach, please bear in mind facilities such as rest rooms may have to be hired in, as some locations do not offer this.

Imaging your wedding taking place on a beach, watched by your close family and friends, or just you in an intimate ceremony with the striking blue seas and a tropical sunset at the backdrop to your wedding pictures.

Weddings will usually take place in the mid afternoon, as the sun is at it coolest.

Great houses and plantation houses

Barbados has some of the most beautiful great houses and plantations houses in all of the Caribbean.

Beautifully maintained properties set amongst acres of lush matured gardens driveways lined with thousands of years old mahogany and or tall palm trees. Such properties are hundreds of years old, and are steeped in history and provide an amazing location for your wedding.

Weddings will usually take place in the gardens. Whiles receptions can take place in one of the dinning rooms but this is for formal seating. Other arrangements can be made for an informal setting.

Church weddings

An old favourite, the church wedding. Walking up the isle in a beautiful old historic church, with an organ playing and filling the air with harmonious gospel like melodies. Get married in front of god with your friends and family present.

Catamaran and yacht weddings

Set sail on your own private catamaran or yacht for your special occasion. Saying I do out in the great blue yonder is ideal for the couple looking to get away from a normal kind of wedding. This way your partner and you or even a few close friends and family could get away and sail out to sea with your own captain and crew. You can laze around on deck or take a drive with the sea turtles, but what ever you choose, you know it will be a day to remember.

Barbados is a fantastic location for those of you that are planning on getting married; it is a unique island, which is unlike any other place in the world. Your dreams really will come true in Barbados.

Elegant and Beautiful Wedding Hair Style from London's Expert Hairdressers

by Zoltan Vargyai

'Wedding day 'a memorable day for everyone. And who doesn't want to look perfect on his or her important day of life. Of course everyone wants to be looking great from every aspect whether it's about wedding dress, or jewelry. Even wedding hair style also adds the charm to bride or grooms personality.
So what to do for a perfect wedding hair style that will really suit you. Well! Many factors are important to decide the right wedding hair style for you. First of all the shape of your face determines the right hair style for you. If you are confused about what hairstyle will suit you for your wedding day then you should talk to a professional hair stylist. Your hair stylist can give you suggestion about the hair style that will most suit shape of your face. And this should be done a few weeks ahead of the time.

Having the wedding dress can also help you to make wedding hair style selection easily. If the bridal gown is of an off shoulder then you should consider your hair down. If the bridal gown has a high neck then wears the hair up.

One should also make arrangements with the hairdresser to have a practice run for her wedding hair style. It will work definitely. Bear in mind that what suits others may not suit you also. Above all the thing that matters is your wedding hair style has to be comfortable. And remember one more thing that it's you who are going to be getting married and not a fairytale image of yours so it should not be so different.

The theme of your wedding party also impact what wedding hair style you will want to select from. A princess hair style or a queen hair style can be choosen for a bridal. A bridal can also choose the more unconventional wedding hair style.

The princess hair style is one of the most flattering hairstyle which a young bride could choose for her wedding day. In this wedding hair style the hairs require to be pulled back from the face. This look has been preferred choice by the bridals for several years. This hairstyle works for the bride with long hair or medium hair.

The queen hair style is much similar like the princess hairstyle with the exception that this wedding hair style is more complicated and it may include side bangs to soften the severe look of aristocracy also. Middle paths or side paths can be used in the hair which could either be loosely or tightly pulled back.

Make Sure The Rest Of You Matches Your Wedding Dress

by Karen de Villiers

When you get married you want the day to be perfect - and that includes yourself! You would want to have the perfect wedding dress, as well as ideal hair, skin, makeup, shoes, accessories and more.
In order to make sure that everything turns out as perfect, or then as close to perfect as is possible in this less than perfect world of ours, you need to make sure that you start preparing for a couple of weeks, if not months, in advance to make sure that your skin, hair and nails are in top conditions when you reach your wedding day.

Unfortunately skin, hair and nails take time to get into perfect condition, so don't think that you can just slap on some moisturizer the day before and have a glowing skin! You might want to see a beautician or professional make-up artist a couple of weeks before to get some advice on how to treat your skin in order to have it in peak condition. An extra word of warning is that it is not wise to start experimenting with new skin care products close to the wedding - you never know when you might have an allergic reaction to new products. If you do want to try out that extra-special (extra-expensive!) skin care product, please do so on advice from a professional as well as a couple of weeks or months in advance!

With regards to make-up, the same thing applies. By all means make use of a professional make-up artist - after all, they know all the tricks in the trade to make the most of your face and look, however, make sure that you go for at least one trial session a couple of weeks in advance to make sure that your skin does not have an allergic reaction to the products that the beautician might use. Apart from that you need to check that your makeup works with the rest of your outfit - your hairpiece and your dress. It is a good idea to have your makeup for that day a bit more striking and darker than usual - a bit like stage makeup. After all, you ARE the star of the day, not so?

If you are making use of a professional make-up artist, she will be able to advise you on this, but please, if you do try and do this yourself, rehearse before hand and get a couple of trusted opinions from family members. Also view yourself from a distance as well as close up in the mirror, so that you can check that while your makeup is a bit darker than usual, that you do not end up looking like Frankenstein!

Some other aspects to keep in mind to make you look your healthy best on your wedding day is that it is a good idea to get in some exercise before you get married. Once again, trying to fit this in, in the week before the wedding is an exercise in futility and will just add to your stress levels! Rather work out a gentle but regular exercise program for a couple of months before the wedding. This will help you de-stress as well as tone your body so that you really look and feel your best on that all important day!

Only two more items remaining that need attention - you will need a good manicure and pedicure before the wedding day to make sure that your hands and feet look and feel great. Make sure that you schedule the sessions for this well in advance so that you do not stress a day before the wedding to try and get a booking. Once again, try different nail colors to see which work the best with your wedding dress. Also, once again, do not, I repeat, DO NOT do your nails once you have already dressed in your wedding dress. Images of disaster with red splashes of nail polish on your perfect dress looms in the mind's eye.

Lastly, I also cannot stress how imperative it is to have one or two trial sessions before the wedding with your hair. Apart from your dress, your hair and hairpiece are the most visible aspects of what you look like and you absolutely need to practice to get this one right!

Beautiful Wedding Hair Styles

Deciding on how you will wear your hair for your wedding is an important decision. Don't put it off like so many brides do. Getting a last minute appointment at top salons can be extremely difficult.

If you have 6 months before your wedding, book a trial run with your stylist and a wedding day appointment. The trial run is important to try out the hair style you want and make sure it works with your dress and most importantly your veil or headpiece.

Another great benefit of the trial run is that you can see how your hair will hold up throughout the day. If you are getting married outside, this can be a very important thing to know. Who wants to have a frizzy mess while dancing?

So the secret is preparation. Plan, make your appointments and bring several photos of styles or updos that you like to your appointment. Some stylists may recommend you bring your headpie ce or veil as well. See great hair styles at http://www.hrweddinghair.com/

10 Modern Wedding Hair Accessories

By Erica Tevis

Whether you would like to create a modern wedding look or a romantic hairstyle, accessories for your hair can help you polish your bridal image. There are a variety of accessories on the market today to suit any bride's style or wedding theme. Here is a short list of popular wedding hair accessories to help you look beautiful on your special day.

Headbands - headbands are simple, yet elegant. Select a wide one for a retro look, or skinny ones for a modern, preppy look. These are perfect for the bride who wants to be comfortable while still being stylish. Pairs easily with your veil.

Feathers - feathers are a hot trend right now, these are perfect for the trendy "in style" bride. These can be purchase and added to combs, clips, barrettes or even woven through hair. Alternatively, there are many accessories with feathers pre-attached.

Veil - believe it or not, sometimes less is more, and a veil may be all you need. If you are opting out of hair accessories go elaborate with your veil - pearls, jewels and crystal accents will compliment your look.

Fresh Flowers - once a trend, now a tradition - adding a sprig of your favorite flower to your hair can give you a romantic, soft touch. Check with your florist though, to see which flowers will hold up without water.

Tiaras - these can range from classical princess styles to modern, asymmetric looks to retro inspired glam. Don't rule out a tiara just based on the name, there are so many styles one will suit your look.

Hair Vines - held in place by pins on each end, these are highly flexible and can conform to most any hairstyle. Many are encrusted with jewels, crystals or pearls.

Barrettes - these are not what you would think - a simple barrette can sweep back locks, hold bangs to the side or keep layers in place. Barrettes can be elaborate or simple depending on the look you are going for.

Hair Jewelry - whether you decide to decorate your hair with shells (for a beach bride) or crystals (for an upscale look) hair jewelry is placed either around your style (such as a bun) or strategically placed throughout your style.

Tropical Flowers - this works well for tropical inspired weddings or beach weddings - a pop of a vibrant color will look wonderful in your wedding photos.

Birdcage Pouf - for the bride who wants a veil, but doesn't want to be weighed down. Depending on how you style the rest of your hair, this could be a romantic vintage look or very edgy and unique. You can wear the poof over your face for the beginning of the reception, then style it into a "pouf" for the reception.

Ideas For Colors Of Your Wedding

by Victor Epand

Here are some good ideas for September colors for your wedding. I love this one color that is a light green. I understand that this is not a fall color. The light green would go beautifully with a darker green or a darker red/orange. This would "ground" the color in a more summer-fall transitional theme. You could use three colors- the light green, a darker green (dark sage, hunter, etc), and pair it with a gold, yellow, burnt orange, or dark red for accents.

This would be a monochromatic color scheme with complementary accents. If you want to browse some more color schemes, go to any website and look up any color you would think would go nice with your wedding dress.

I am also trying to decide what colors would look nice for an October wedding. I am also interested in such colors like, wine/cream, wine/champagne, and wine/gold. I think those color choices compliment each other beautifully, particularly the wine, gold, and champagne. Other colors to throw in there that would go nicely would be a deeper shade of copper and another lighter/darker red. Because it will be in the fall time of year, we could always coordinate oranges in there as well with flowers and centerpieces.

I have an outfit that I would like to wear but I want to make sure that it is appropriate. I have winter white pants with gold & silver pinstripes and a long off white blouse. As a rule, you don't want to wear white because that's what the bride wears. However, since your slacks have pinstripes and the blouse is off white, if you could accessorize it, such as a gold scarf that brings out more of the "off white" color, then you should be okay. I really do think that that outfit would look really nice. Make sure that you bring with you some kind of a jacket or coat that why when you get cool you will have something to put on. On the other hand it would still bring the outfit out more if you were to wear something that it light and airy and that you can just hang on something on tie it to your waist.

Plum & silver sounds lovely! Silver accents would be lovely on your plum dresses. If you go for another color, it can over-complicate the look. As silver is the 'accessory' color (this means it's the color used to complement your main color, which is used in hints) then it would be very suitable.

But try not to put too much of the silver all over the dress. Having too much silver on the dress will not show the plum as much. Having like a shahs or a ribbon on the dress that is silver will be just as nice and you will be able to show more or the plum color and some of the silver color with out having to over power one of the other colors.

You could even have your bridesmaids put in ribbons or small flowers in there hair to bring out the colors of the dress.

Points to Consider When Buying Wedding Shoes

by Heather Denton

Who do you think receives the most attention at a wedding? For sure you guessed the bride. This is generally the way things work. The bride is always the main attraction. It’s her day to shine, to radiate. For her it’s probably taken years to get to this day. Likely it’ll be a once in a lifetime event. When it comes to the wedding day nothing is too good for the bride. She’ll be wearing her dream wedding gown and probably her grandmother’s pearls. Her hair and make-up will be professionally done and she’ll be looking her best. No detail will be left out including the brides wedding shoes.

What are the typical shoes for brides? Perhaps decades ago there was a particular style of wedding shoe that brides wore. However, nowadays there are many styles and designs of shoes for brides. Some brides choose to wear shoes with heels, others would rather wear flats. Some women will choose platform shoes, others would rather wear sandals. There is such an assortment of bridal shoes available for the bride today that she can have pretty much anything she wants. If the bride finds a pair of white shoes she likes but would rather they were in ivory, if they are dyeable that can easily be arranged. The bride-to-be can find a great deal of flat shoes that have the perfect bridal detailing. There’s no such thing as taking what you can get regarding wedding shoes. The bride can pretty much get whatever she wants.

Where would a bride find wedding shoes? The most obvious place to look would be the shoe store. Most shoe stores and shoe departments in large stores carry a selection of shoes. A bridal boutique or a formal shop ought to have a nice assortment of shoes to choose from. Specialty shops, such as a bridal boutique are likely to carry dyeable shoes.

There are so many details to think about when planning a wedding. Often tiny things get forgotten or left for last minute. Bridal shoes are something that cannot be postponed. The bride-to-be will need her shoes for dress fittings. It’s important the seamstress be informed about the type of shoes being worn, especially with respect to the height of the heel. If needing an idea of what’s available in shoes for the bride, the Internet is a great source of information. There are many online shopping sites that carry wedding shoes and also those that specialize in weddings. Browsing these sites will provide a good look at what is on the market today and help the bride-to-be make a decision about which style of wedding shoe she’d like to wear on her special day. If the bride-to-be doesn’t already have a general idea as to what she’d like, the hundreds of beautiful pictures will definitely set the thinking process in motion.

Wedding Hairstyles: A 7 Step Plan For Perfect Hair

Much preparation has to go into the bride’s dress, and so should her crowning glory, the hair. Follow this simple guide on how to plan for the perfect wedding hairstyle.

Weeks before your wedding day choose a hairdresser that will make your do at the wedding. Find a hairdresser that is recommended by someone you know and trust; someone that they had a good experience with.

1. Establish a good rapport with the hairdresser. You should be comfortable in discussing with him or her on the style and look you want. Some hairdressers insist on some do that they dreamed would be made for them. Be firm in telling him or her what you want and don’t want.

2. Discuss in length the shape of your face in relation to the hairstyle that he or she proposes. Try the following styles:

-Up do’s signify elegance and this is what most brides want.

-Tired of the bun? Achieve the same polished look with braids instead. From cornrows to French twists, there are numerous interesting ways to set your hair in place.

-Letting your hair down, especially of the mid-length can emanate romance. Flip the edges out for a little retro look.

-Short hair can be spruced up with color highlights or shiny curls.

3. Ask to schedule a practice session to mock-up the intended hair do for your wedding day. You may need to pay extra for this mock-up session, but it’s worth the buck to ensure you look lovely during your wedding.

4. Part of the mock-up is for you to carry the hairstyle. Check side and rear views for how the hairstyle looks and make sure it is made to your liking. You are the center of attention on the wedding day, so you should be beautiful 360 degrees!

5. Walk around the salon with your hairstyle. Try to bob your head abit or do other head movements that you think will happen on wedding day. Make sure your hairstyle withstands all the head activity and that you and your scalp will be comfortable for hours.

6. Now, traditionally, they say it is bad luck to try on your wedding dress before the wedding day. But you need to be sure that your hairstyle matches the gown. Don’t worry; you can still approximate the look by using other dresses. Look for a dress that has the same collar style as your wedding dress. Then put on something that approximates the same lines of your wedding gown. View yourself on the mirror, and imagine yourself in white… does the hairstyle match?

7. On the eve of the wedding, get a head massage, on second thought, get a whole body massage! This relaxes your body, opens your pores and freshens up your skin.

Gets yourself ready for your momentous event: plan for your wedding day hairstyle and achieve the perfect wedding day look!

Wedding Hair & Make-Up Tips

Submitted By: Rafi Michael

Preparing yourself to look beautiful on your Toronto wedding day doesn’t start a few hours before the ceremony. There are several things you can do in advance to help yourself look and feel beautiful on your wedding day:

- Join a gym, or start walking to get some exercise

- Start drinking at least eight glasses of water per day to flush toxins out of your system. Also, water helps you feel full, so you may be inclined to eat less!

- Get a facial every five weeks from now until your Toronto wedding. Skin exfoliation provided by good facials, removes dead skin cells from your face and makes your skin glow.

- Start getting regular manicures and pedicures to help to keep your hands, feet and nails in good condition.

- Book a hairstylist and makeup artist for your wedding day. Be sure to do this a couple of months in advance and go in for a trial run a couple of weeks before the wedding

- Have your haircut and colored two to three weeks before the wedding to avoid the new cut and color look.

The Toronto Wedding Day: Professional or Do-It-Yourself?

If you choose to have a professional do your hair and makeup to look beautiful, this can be a great way to relax and get pampered on your Toronto wedding day. Many professional makeup artists can make your face both camera-ready and natural-looking.

If you choose to have your hair and makeup done at a salon, don’t forget to schedule trial appointments at least a week before your wedding. You will want to bring your veil to the trial appointment.

If you want to do your own hair and makeup, here are some general tips:

- Use a foundation close to your natural skin color

- Apply loose powder to your face and neck.

- Line your eyes with a brown pencil.

- Avoid frosted eyeliner or eye shadow. Matte shadows work best in photos.

- Curl your eyelashes and apply brown or black mascara.

- Apply a flattering blush to your cheekbones and blend upwards.

- Line your lips with a pencil and apply lipstick. Five little tricks

- For smooth lips use a toothbrush to exfoliate your lips and remove dry skin.

- To make lipstick last, line lips with a pencil and apply lipstick, then blot with a tissue. Leave the tissue on your lips and with a loose powder puff; press the puff on top of the tissue. Remove the tissue and reapply your lipstick.

- If your eyes are red, eye drops can work, but can be a bit messy. Instead, use a white pencil near the inside of your lower eyelid.

- Buy new mascara. Mascara should be thrown out every three months. What better occasion for a new tube than your wedding day?

- To make blush last the whole day, use a cream blush instead of powder. If you have oily skin, keep that loose powder close by. Cream blush can make you a bit shinier than normal, but it does last longer!

There are a lot of ways to make yourself look beautiful for your Toronto wedding day, so enjoy the moment, because most important stress is a beauty buster!

Wedding Hair Dos For Everyone

Submitted By: Jane L Martin

Anyone planning or attending a wedding should always take time to have a great hair day. Whether you are the bride, groom, mother of the bride or groom, bridal attendant or wedding guest you want to look your very best. This includes styling an attractive wedding hairdo. While everyone is choosing a wedding hairdo, he or she should be mindful of wedding etiquette and never upstage the bride, even in hairdos, since the bride is the focal point in attention of a wedding ceremony.

Being the center of attention a bride will take special consideration in choosing her wedding hair. Choosing the right hairstyle means paying attention to the small details of planning wedding. For instance, once you have chosen your wedding theme and colors, you will find it easier to choose your wedding dress and jewelry. Keep in mind that it is best to chose your wedding hairdo before choosing your wedding jewelry. Having a clear image in mind of the atmosphere, you wish to create for your special day, helps to find just the right style of wedding hair and makeup.

An important consideration is the facial shape of each individual when choosing a wedding hairdo. Your facial shape will naturally determine what types of hairdo will best compliment your overall look. The condition of the hair is also considered when styling your wedding hairdo. If your hair needs conditioning or any type of processing, it is best to have it done well before the day of the wedding. By doing so, you will eliminate any potential problems that may arise with time left to correct it if necessary.

Many brides try out several different wedding hairdos before making a final decision of the style they like best. This is a good idea, since you can take your time to decide which wedding hairdo suits you best. There is a wide variety in length and styles of wedding hair. Whether you prefer very short and sassy, medium, long and luxurious or swept up into customized updo hairstyle, you are sure to find many complimentary to your facial shape, wedding attire and overall appearance.

One big decision you have is whether to have your hair professionally styled or do it yourself. Whichever you choose you need to really look after your hair for it to look the very best for the big day.

One thing bear in mind is that the wedding day will be busy enough without some DIY, why not pamper yourself and get a professional in. Why not include a manicure and pedicure as well. After all, you do your own hair every day, so few extra hours of relaxing is called for.

Your hair should also be trimmed, to look its best. When you decide to go to a professional for your wedding hairdo, it is best to take along your wedding dress or at least a photograph. Having a photograph or wedding dress to look at will help your hairdresser help you find the most suitable wedding hairdo.

A great top tip is to wear a button up shirt while having your hair styled on your wedding day. This will eliminate the need to take a garment off over your head and possibly messing up your wedding hairdo. Remember that if you are having your wedding hair professionally styled, you will need to schedule your appointment early and not wait until the last minute to do so.

You can always start early and try out many different wedding hair dos months before your special day. If your hair is shorter than you would like it to be for taking wedding photograph keepsakes, you may want to consider making use of hair extensions. Hair extensions come in a wide array of colors from the very lightest blond to the deepest bluest black. You also have a choice of materials as hair extensions are made from as well as various lengths and styles, such a straight or curly. They are easy to care for and easy to wear, while adding just the right flair to any wedding hairdo.

Most importantly, your wedding hairdo should be in a style that best compliments your facial shape, fashion style, wedding style, and makes you feel beautiful.

Hair Style Is The Most Important One Of All

Submitted By: Sharon Price

Wedding hair styles have seen a considerable change as the fashions through the years change and deciding how to wear your hair and make up for a formal event such as a wedding is a very important decision to make. Today’s styles are much softer and more natural than the rigid styles of years ago being much more free, natural as well as much easier to attain than even those that were fashionable a few years ago. The wedding hair style and how you wear your hair and make up for formal events requires doing some research as well as practicing before the big day or night to make sure you get it right.

There will sure to be hundreds of eyes on the bride on her big day and so the wedding hair will need to be perfect to make the bride feel at her best. How you decide to wear your hair and make up at other formal events is not quite so important as you will not necessarily want photographs to remind you of the big day. This is reason enough to choose a perfect as well as formal hairstyle much before the actual wedding day so as to allow the hairstylist to get it right as well as be able to make any changes that are required before the wedding day.

Style books can give you ideas of how to wear your hair and make up at formal events and are a good starting point to select the perfect wedding hair style. Before selecting a particular hair style, make sure that it also compliments the wedding dress in terms of style, era as well as cut of the dress. The bride should also consider how the rest of the wedding party are going to wear their hair and make up, whether long or short, curly or straight. Decisions such as this go a long way to helping making the day perfect.

Co-coordinating the wedding hair styles or how you wear your hair and make up at formal events with those of the wedding party or other guests does not mean having to choose exactly the same styles but the look should compliment each member’s personality, hair texture as well as facial structure.

The wedding hair style and how you wear your hair and make up at other important formal events is certainly the most important part of the entire outfit and is often the first thing that others notice. The hardest part may be finding the ideal wedding hair style, and brides-to-be are often lost and unsure about which style is the best for them. However, magazines such Wedding Magazine as well as tons of others that can be found on the shelves of local bookstores will help.

Deciding how to wear your hair and your make up at formal events including a wedding trying to match accessories and colors is a great idea. However, the wedding hair style of the bride can be apart, and can and should be more intricate than those of the other members of the wedding party as it is the brides day and she does not want to be out done by one of the bridesmaids does she?

Wedding Hair Style Tips: Choose Your Wedding Day Hairstyle Carefully

Submitted By: Melissa Burton

Women like to look glamorous, elegant and sexy on their wedding day so they usually take the time to choose an extravagant dress, stunning shoes and make up, and then there is the hair style. Whoa boy! Women usually have a stylist visit them when they are getting ready for the wedding, which costs a fortune, or they visit the parlour early in the morning before their wedding to get their chosen hair style done.

A woman's hair may be her crowning glory, but getting a new 'do' just before a big event in your life can be a major mistake. Plan ahead with any chemical treatments - bleaching, colouring, streaking, perming or straightening - and if you're considering any radical changes in length or style do it at least six to eight weeks before the big event, this way it gives you and your hair time to adjust together and get a “working relationship” on the go.

On your wedding day, hundreds of eyes will be on you, and your chosen wedding hair style can either complete the picture or detract from it. That is why it is so important to choose the perfect formal hairstyle well in advance of the big day so that you and your stylist can get it right and make custom additions to your wedding hair style. Nothing is worse than a hastily crafted coif decided upon only minutes before the ceremony, take the time with your stylist to go over what looks suit you and what looks don’t, obviously avoid the looks that don’t suit you. Larger figures should wear their hair up as this draws attention and slims the face down, slimmer brides should look at curls which accentuate the face and shoulders.

Men may seem as though they don’t care about their wedding hair style and women are none the wiser to it, but in fact the bride groom spends at least 15 minutes making sure all the gel is in the correct plane and he has no sticky up bits!!

A great wedding hair style is crucial, especially for those wedding pictures, make sure it's not some kind of style which is going to fall all over the place or is going to be blown around in high winds! That way you can be sure of looking great in those pictures!

Finding a wedding hair stylist

If you are planning to go to the salon for your wedding day hair style, you must schedule your appointment in advance. Some popular hair stylists are actually booked 1 year in advance.

Yes, you read that right---1 year in advance.

Another thing that you should do is to schedule a trial run a few weeks before the actual wedding day so that you can be fully prepared for how your hair will look and feel on your big day.

Wedding Hairstyle Tips - Get Elegant Looks

by Peter hutch

On the most important day of a bride's life, the only person who can create a hairstyle of her dreams is her hairdresser. These beautiful looks explain a comprehensive bridal hair and beauty service from a hairdressers' point of view; now available to the bride herself. Now you can choose your dress, Head dress and flowers to co-ordinate with a style that suits your hair type and texture.

Choose a wedding hair style that makes you look cute, exalted, or chic. Prior opting for a bridal hairstyle it would be better that you discuss your hairstyle with a wedding hairstyle expert so that on the final day you don't have to undergo any embarrassment. Pick a hairstyle so that you are a head turner at the wedding. Don't wait till last minute to select your hairstyle. Don't be panicky to try new hair styles just do them a few months before the wedding.

Your hair style. Don't think of your current style as a starting block for your wedding style. By adding hair extensions or a hair piece you can add volume and length and completely change your look. The beauty of a one off hair style is that you can go to much more effort than would if you had to do it every day. Also think about your wedding dress and try to match its style. The degree of formality of your dress should be matched by your hairstyle.

Take care of your hair! You should already be doing this anyway but if your hair is in poor condition then it can take 6 months to bring it back to full condition so you can't start too soon. Visit our online store to check out products that can help you here or visit your hairdresser and ask their advice. If you wish to colour your hair then you might want to consider conditioners etc that will return any moisture/condition lost to the colouring process.

Don't do anything drastic like cutting, perming or dying your hair so close to your wedding that there isn't time to correct mistakes beforehand. If you are planning a big change do it early and live with it for awhile so you can make adjustments if you need to.

Hair that is too fine and over-conditioned does not style well, so deep conditioning treatments should not be used within four days of the wedding.

Remember that some hairstyles can add inches to a bride's height, and shorter brides may want to use this to their advantage.

Flatter fronts are the best way, so keep the curls for the back area. Curls are used for creating texture. Never touch the curls while they are still warm, this will loosen them up. Once the hair has cooled, run your finger through the hair with some hairwax and place the texture wherever you want.

If your hair is long you could try a romantic and natural looking spiral perm or if your hair is shorter maybe you will just need a body perm for lift and bounce.

If you decide on a perm, four weeks before the 'big wedding day' is the time to have it, as this enables the curls to settle down, and gives you time to learn how to handle the new texture.
